Alice in love......

Tim Burton's take on Alice in Wonderland has to be one of my favourite films. It's so easy  to create a 'Wonderland' theme for a wedding or other event.Think bright coloured table linen, Queen of Hearts invitations, fancy cupcakes, vintage china, wild flowers and giant garden games. These are just a few of ideas that are easy have that pull this whimsical theme together!

The first of many!

So the first blog! Of course, you'd think I'd post about why you need a planner,  but I'll leave that to another post. It would be too obvious for me to list the reasons as to why a planner is a good idea. Instead I thought I'd write about why I started Chapter 16.

Its a bit of a cliche to say, but I fell in love with the idea of working in weddings after planning my own. Too many 'wedding planners' are those who set up after their own wedding thinking 'if I can plan mine, I can plan anyones!' Not so! Planning your own wedding is easy, getting to grips with someone else's dreams and ideas is a whole different ball game. I love getting to know my brides and grooms and working with them to deliver a day that is personal to them. My favourite weddings are those filled with sweet touches and the littlest detail that makes it a day to remember. It's those days that make the hard graft and long days and nights completely worthwhile. The look on the grooms face when he first sees his bride, the father of the brides speech, the first dance. Each personal to every couple and what I adore about being a planner!

I hope to use my blog to inspire you with thoughts and ideas to help you get the wedding you've been dreaming about. I hope you enjoy reading it!

Much love xx
